Humax will launch its Freeview HD receiver in early 2010.
One of the first receivers for Freeview HD will be a zapper box from Humax, featuring media networking and USB recording. The single tuner box will support both DVB-T2 and DVB-T, with MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 H.264 decoding for the forthcoming Freeview HD multiplex. Users will be able to record to external USB storage, and access media on other Humax STBs, PCs and network storage using the DLNA protocol.
The box will launch in early 2010, followed by a PVR product towards the summer. Pricing will be similar to Humax's existing Freesat HD products.
