hi, i tried downloading the manual for the marantz pm4000 off the marantz eu website however this site doesn't have any downloadable manuals whatsoever.
i have two amplifiers connected to two different sets of speakers. i want to connect my radio tuner into my pm4000 and then connect its output into my second amp. so i connected the "MD out" connnection of my pm4000 into the input of my other amp but all i heard on the output of my second amp was noise. i even tried setting the record function to "MD" but made no difference. any idea what i could be doing wrong?
your reply will be gratefully appreciated.

or even if you could find a soft copy of the manual online that would be great.

thanks, C.

Usually the only output connections on an amp are the speaker terminals, not phono. Trying to connect two integrated amps together is a definate no no and could cause serious damage to your equipment.

The only way that you can connect the tuner to both amps is to use a phono splitter at the tuner phono output and run seperate feeds to each amp.

You need two of the following from your tuner:

You can get all you need here .

As far as Marantz owners manuals are concerned the nearest I can find is the 4001. Manuals ( click on pic of amp for details page then select "Product Downloads" ).

Don't forget you'll need 2 splitters - Left & Right outputs to split to each amp.
