a friend of mine sent me a demo to clean up for her. the audio is completely drowned out. does anyone know a program that i can use to disassemble the audio track and fix it? Ive been able to get close, but still sounds wierd. all instrumental is very good quality as is the vocals. the vocals are just too quiet

I'm sorry to have to tell you that your attempting the impossible here m8.
Boosting the presence region ie midrange may pull the vocals forward a bit.
Another idea would be to strip out the vocal using a karaoke program and then re-record the vocal.
Lastly and probably the easiest would be to re-dub the vocals onto the existing demo track.
