I'm not familiar with the Bush but if it has a built in Amp then maybe you could connect it directly to the line in just for recording purposes ?

If that works then you could possibly consider some splitter cables to have a permanent connection to both Hi-Fi and PC ?

The Bush MTT1 does have a built-in preamp so you can connect it straight to the line-in on your soundcard.

You will of course need to find the correct cables to do this, or adaptors at least. Does the Bush have phono sockets on the back or phono leads straight out? Either way you will need a phono to 3.5mm stereo jack plug to attach it to your sound card.

Record Now DX is a Japanese product from Sonic and looks more like a CD burner than audio recording software. As I'm not familiar with the product I would suggest trying All Sound Recorder XP.

I think what you are saying Dame is that you want to play your Record player and PC through your HiFi but the hifi only has one input? I think you need to explain in more detail as think you may be confusing inputs with outputs plus u may be confusing the mods ;-).
If, as I suspect is correct, you want to connect two devices into the one input of your HiFi then you need EITHER a split connector lead this has 2 sets of inline phono sockets at one end [to which you connect the PC and your Deck], the other end has a pair of phono plugs [which connect to the Auxiliary input of the HiFi] OR a small input switch box the two devices connect via phono leads to this boc which in turn is connected via phono leads to the HiFi, the Box has a switch to select either device. All this stuff is available from Maplin, Richer Sounds or possibly Curry's or even a LARGE Asda supermarket.

The problem with most new Hi-Fi setups, especially the all-in-one units is the lack of inputs/outputs.

When my Sony met it's maker I looked at every unit in Comet and 95% of them had no facility for connecting to the PC or connecting a turntable.

I ended up getting a Denon setup which is basically individual units that has all the necessary connections for PC and turntable. In fact the 5% of units that did provide connections were the individual unit types.

Why these manufacturers now think that their unit is all you need and only provide a Mic socket beats me.

If you want to play the cdr on a regular cdp then leave the .wavs as they are.

When you burn the .wav file to a CDR the mastering package (Nero/EasyCD etc) will automatically burn the file as a .cda which will then play on all CD players.
