Hello everybody..
I am new to these boards and was hoping maybe somebody around here would be able to give me a little advice. I has finally decided to try to persue this desire I've had to be a DJ..only propbably is I know absolutley nothing about it truthfully. I have saved up around 12-14 hundred for a set up, now I'm gathering up info to see what will be best suited for me and what I wanna do.. I wanted a setup with battle turntables, and a mixer that ( if possible ) is made for battling and blendin/mixing.,I would be mainly mixing hiphop/rap and some jazz. I had my eyes on technics and numark turntables, but as far as the mixer i have no idea what i should look for..my turntable price range is in the 3-4 hundred and my mixer ranger is around 2-3 hundred. If anyone could possible post back and let me know there opinions on what I should look for and give me some advice. I'd appreciate it trememdously..Thanks for the help to those who reply!

Technics and Numark also make mixers. Look for one with replaceable faders this lets you replace them when they wear out or when you want one with a different "response".

Hope it`s OK to post this... if not, Admin please delete. It`s a DJ forum attached to a DJ supply company. I don`t use the company but the forum has many experienced members with an accumulated wealth of information... check it out ...
