please help, my computer has been without sound for the past 2 weeks, i dont know how to make it work, i have a sound card but i dont know what it is called, i dont know how to find that out so that i can download a driver so i can get everything to work, please tell me how to find this out, thanks

Is it in your PC? If so download Belarc Advisor and it should list it under Multimedia.

If you're using XP you could also try:

Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Information / System Summary / Components / Sound Device

Which program are you talking about? Do you not have any sound at all or is it another program that you have lost?

If it is something that you have done recently you could try a rollback: Start / Program Files / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore
