I thought these things were s'pose to get better?

Just fitted one today, never had so many rejects, software proggies citing media as the problem, same media thats worked well for long enough....beginning to wish I'd gave an NEC a go.

Updated The Firmware hoping things would get better but nope, crapping out mid burn again.

Since pulled it from the main comp and slapped it in another and gave it a whirl, it burnt a disc but the peaks and troughs on the burn graph were frightening...hmmm

..to be continued (after i get a 5Lb Mash Hammer from B&Q)

In summary thank christ they're only £35 quid now lol

Thats my saving grace that, the thought that at least I only bought one, and a cheap un' at that smile

Did some more burns on it, burn graphs were up and down like a whores drawers and that was only at x8, the pc hole its slotted into had a 108 in it and the burn graph was a straight line @ x8, only thing changed is the hardware.

If I was you Gus I'd stick em' on Ebay as BOGOF
lmao
