Last time I upgraded my Hdd from 40G to 80G I used IBM Disk Manager 2000, just install big new empty drive as slave, DM2000 formatted it then transferred everything from the old to new drive. Then take out old Hdd set new Hdd to Master and bobs yer unkle.

I'm having trouble with my new build but I've got it working with an 8G hdd now I want to clone my 80G Hdd [which may be faulty] to test it out but.....

IBM Disk Manager 2000 no longer available on IBM site - so help!!!

This is a well respected and inexpensive app. I believe it has a free trial. Not as flashy as the big boys, but many like it.
