I am looking for some replacement CD-RW media for backups. My current Traxdata are c£@p.

I have seen some PNY ones in WHSmiths. Anyone had or know any problems with them ?

Also, are Maxell any good ? (Argos)

Don't want to order mail order - want to go and get them (about 5).

Thanks

I personally recommend Ricoh, TDK, Memorex, Verb and HP CDRW media.

Do you need to get 4x or 10x HS media... if you need 4x mail me at pot_rice@hotmail.com wink

I would agree with Si on the TDK, they are pretty good...Also Infintiss are very good if u can get them.

Ive found that some burners dont like certain cdrw, and only allow u to burn them at slower speeds.....but the 2 i mentioned above seem to be fine for my writers

Thanks chaps - this is in advance of the new Plexy arriving shortly (this week hopefully).

Even though it can burn at high speed I probably won't.

I would rather get the better quality ones so I will ya Si - and thanks Aj smile

Hello Krem, at the moment TDK and Verbatim for anything serious, and datesafe 24x for everything else audio etc. Burn on the 24x TDK fine with no problems.

I've changed to White Top DiscRite cd's £20 a 100 at SVP.

Rattled throw a few of them on the ol' LiteOn with no complaints. £6 next day delivery tho, still, ordering 300 at a time offsets that a bit and when they say next day delivery it is the next day, Xlnt service, good job its there as the puter fairs here are rubbish.

That L & Bill always get the bargains, aint fair cry
