I'm thinking about upgrading my 19" 4:3 Dell monitor to a widescreen but don't really know where to start. Do you think that a 22" 16:9 would be a good upgrade and if so what make would you go for? I would like it to have a digital input. Do most monitors have this anyway? I'm looking to spend around the £150 mark.

Any recommendations?

I recently bought a 19" Acer for £99 in Tesco.
The only criteria I looked for was warranty - Acer offered a free 2-year warranty so that`s what I got.
Cant fault it.

I haven't bought a monitor for ages.

I don't think they all have DVI so that's something to watch.
