Hi there, I know that this is an old topic, but I am curious if anyone has a work around. I am currently about 60-70% of the way through recording my vinyl and tapes. However my PC is on its last legs....and now I have a problem. Do I go down a PC

Thanx MJB I`ll take a look. Trouble with DBX is it`s dynamic and uses its own algorithms. It uses Pre-emphasis and noise reduction together and requires the exact opposite of both to recover the track. I`ll have a play and see if I can replicate the

I use Audacity and sometimes the old Cool Edit 2000, when it behaves on Vista, so I can't really comment on Sound Forge unfortunately. I would imagine a Band-pass filter or some type of Noise Gate might be the way to go? If Sound Forge supports Pl
